Online Summer Program

We are offering another fun Dutch online children's program for different age groups and levels this summer. In addition, we have also developed a wonderful online Dutch program for adults.

For whom: students who want to accelerate the first semester of the A1 level (Beginners Basic I). After this course they will be able to start with the 2nd semester of the A1 level (Beginners Basic II) in September 2022.

Program:  “Who are you, what do you do and where do you come from?” With this course, the students learn the basics of the Dutch language in a group setting. They will learn how to introduce themselves, how to have a simple conversation, and more. This introduction does not require any prior knowledge of the language. In addition to learning basic grammar, we pay a lot of attention to conversation, pronunciation and enriching the vocabulary to develop good oral language skills, using different situations as a basis.

When: 2x per week (15 classes) on Monday and Thursday evenings from 7.30 - 8.30 pm. From June 20 to August 11, 2022 (no class on Monday July 4). Or from June 27 to August 18 from 7.30 - 8.30 pm.

Price: $575 per student + $50 for the online program which is valid for the whole A1 level for 1 entire year.

For whom: for students who are currently taking our online classes (Dutch as a 2nd language) or students with knowledge of the Dutch language. We will have different groups by age and level (5-7 year olds, 7-10 year olds, 11-16 year olds).

Program: the 5-7 year olds will participate in our fun and interactive program and will learn about Dutch culture and customs. For the older groups (different age groups), the emphasis is on summer, travel and culture. The theme is "going on a virtual vacation to the Netherlands/Belgium". The aim of the course is that the students stay involved with the Dutch language in a fun and interactive way, learn vocabulary about vacation and travel and learn more about the culture. During the lessons, the students will make various virtual trips in the Netherlands and Belgium (Amsterdam, Utrecht, Brugge, museums) and learn about Dutch and Belgian culture and customs. In this way they will deepen their acquired knowledge of the past school year, learn a lot of new vocabulary, continue to work with the Dutch language in the summer and be completely ready again for the new school year.

When: 8 one-hour lessons on a weekday between 4 and 6 pm from the week June 20  to the week of August 12, 2022.

Price: $310 per student.

For whom: for students who want to use the summer to follow an introduction course in Dutch in 6 weeks.

Program:  “Who are you, what do you do and where do you come from?” With this course, the students learn the basics of the Dutch language in a group setting. They will learn how to introduce themselves, how to have a simple conversation, learn about numbers, days and months and much more. They will also learn about the Netherlands and the Dutch culture and customs. This introduction does not require any prior knowledge of the language. In addition to learning basic grammar, we pay a lot of attention to conversation, pronunciation and enriching the vocabulary to develop good oral language skills, using different situations as a basis.

When: 

• 7-10 year olds: 6 one-hour classes on a weekday afternoon between 4 and 6 pm from the week of July 5 to the week of August 11, 2022.

• 11-16 year olds: 6 one-hour classes on a weekday afternoon between 4 and 6 pm from the week of July 5 to the week of August 11, 2022.

• If there is enough interest for 5-7 year olds we can set up a class.

Price: $235 per student.
